- Paper Types: Coated Text is a thin sheet of paper that has a bit of gloss. Coated Cover has a glossy appearance, but is 2-3 times thicker than text. Likewise, Uncoated Text/Cover are of similar thickness respectively, but are not glossy.
- Flat Size: The size of the document after trimming.
- Finished Size: The size of the document after folding.
- Bleed: The amount of space that the printing goes beyond the actual trim size of your file.
- 1-Sided Printing: A printed sample with printing on just one side of the paper. The back is blank.
- 2-Sided Printing: A printed sample with printing on both sides of the paper.
- Number of Colors: If you have a single color to print, say blue on white paper, specify 1-color. If you need blue and white on green paper, specify 2-color. If you need a photo to print in a document, you will need to specify 4-color. If you need specific colors for a particular match, specify each, or 4-color plus your spot colors.
- File Format: Mac/ZIP is Apple Macintosh formatted ZIP archive, Mac/SIT is Apple Macintosh formatted Stuff-It archive, PC/ZIP is Windows formatted WinZip archive.
